This is a very special edition of Story, because we had the opportunity to sit down with Brian Benni of Bravo’s hit series, Family Karma! This interview really delivers. Brian opened up about his passion for championing representation in television, his parents’ love story, the pressure to get married, where he stands with the rest of his Family Karma co-stars and so much more. You don’t want to miss the full length video of our entire conversation as well as our piece, A Conversation with Brian Benni: Bravo's Rising Star Gets Candid On Representation, Finding Love & Family Karma.

Click to access the entire February issue led by Djamil Ninsoo. Djamil is a published author of "Eva, My NaniJi", available on Amazon. He so graciously lent us his storytelling abilities to share his family's combined Afro and Indo-Caribbean love for roti in a special piece that centres around his beautiful great-grandmother Alice.

Allow me to introduce you to 'Story'. Created to share the stories of our fellow Indo-Caribbeans, Story is an online publication by the Indo-Caribbean Canadian Association. Our newsletter will aim to meet you at the intersections of culture and history, art and entertainment, and so much more.

I had the opportunity to also write our lead Story, 2023 & Me: Rediscovering my Indo-Caribbean Identity. It was unexpectedly challenging to write something so personal. I hope that it resonates.
